Spiritual Decks Options
Mindfulness Cards
Contain inspirational messages that help you set intentions for your day. They can be used as a single pull or in a multiple pull to help focus in on what you want to concentrate on. The mindfulness categories often include: Rest & Balance, Insight & Awareness, Curiosity & Joy, and Kindness.
Oracle Cards
There are many different types of Oracle Cards. The meaning, belief and imagination behind the cards is based on the creator of the cards. The number of cards in the deck will vary and there is no set structure or meaning. Can be used as a stand alone deck or in conjunction with a Tarot Deck. Using the oracle cards can give you an overall “big picture” look at a question you might have.
Affirmation Cards
Similar to oracle cards, they are a creation of their creator and will be different based on that person and what they chose to write. Pulling an affirmation card in the morning can be a wonderful way to start the day. Carry it with you, use it to journal with or as something to ponder. They can be incredibly funny decks or very serious. It’s all in what you like. The funniest deck I have ever found is called Affirmators!
Tarot Cards
There are hundreds of decks out there but they will all have the same structure and general meaning. The decks are typically made up of 78 cards. Arranged in 4 suits with 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards. Using tarot cards can give you a more detailed interpretation. Think of it as pages of a storybook. You will more often follow a tarot card spread for readings instead of just pulling a single card.
Is any one of these decks better than another? Nope. It’s all in how you want to use them and what feels right to you. Many people have multiple decks in each category. That way they can choose the one that feels right the day they need to use it.
