Healing isn’t linear. You will have good, even great, days and then right back into the thick of it. The longer you have lived with the pain, the more ups & downs you will experience during the healing process. It is a quirky path, switching up techniques and modalities. This is why we work with what your body and mind present on the day of your appointment. Let us be your guide on A Quirky Path To Wellness.

Our Techniques
Myofascial Release
This work uses a combination of techniques to soften and release connective tissue that surrounds all internal structures. When this system isn't functioning properly it can cause restrictions to form which results in pain, injuries and long term discomfort. Generally considered a gentle form of bodywork, if there are deep-held compensation patterns or scar tissue (also referred to as adhesions or restrictions), it may be painful. This is a profoundly effective therapeutic technique for restoring balance.
CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy is a light-touch therapy shown to be effective in supporting the Central Nervous System (CNS) so that our bodies can self-correct and heal naturally. As the control center of the body, this system influences every body function. By supporting the CNS, releasing restrictions and resolving dysfunction, CranioSacral Therapy has shown to bring about profound healing. As it is a gentle, non-invasive and virtually risk-free technique, people of all ages can benefit from this essential therapy.
Visceral Manipulation
The following is an excerpt from the Barral Institute's website regarding Visceral Manipulation:
"Viscera" relates to the internal organs of the body, such as the liver, kidneys and intestines. Visceral Manipulation is a gentle manual therapy that aids your body's ability to release restrictions and unhealthy compensations that cause pain and dysfunction. Visceral Manipulation, or VM, does not focus solely on the site of pain or dysfunction, but evaluates the entire body to find the source of the problem. The VM therapist feels for altered or decreased motion within the viscera, as well as restrictive patterns throughout the body and then applies VM techniques. VM therapy re-establishes the body's ability to adapt and restore itself to health.
Scar Release
This work is a combination of myofascial release, muscle stripping/Gua Sha and stretching. The scars can be surgical, old injuries, compensation patterns. Releasing scars can profoundly change how your body functions on many levels.
Crystal Healing & Energy Work
We are intuitive healers, using energy and crystals to help boost our sessions. This type of work is usually done during the Somatic Intuitive Bodywork sessions, however, we may suggest it during individual sessions if we feel it would be beneficial. Feel free to ask us about these modalities at your next session.
Soft Cupping
A form of fascia work using a flexible silicon cup to stimulate circulation, remove stagnation, and stretch the elastin in the skin. An oil or balm is used to allow the cup to move smoothly over the skin. This type of cupping allows for deeper tissue release and, unlike traditional cupping, this will not leave bruising or red marks. If you are really feeling stuck, we have a sink plunger we can use. Seriously.
